Phyllis, originally from Mobile, Alabama, attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. There she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and was also inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1992. Phyllis played on the pro tour for four years and held a world ranking of 125. She has competed in tournaments such as Wimbledon, the French Open, and the U.S. Open. In 2008, she was a member of the U.S. women’s 50 team that took first place at the International Tennis Federation World Team Competition in Antalya, Turkey. Phyllis is certified as a USPTA Elite Professional and she likes to work with all levels of players.
